Samsung facing class action lawsuit in US for mishandling Galaxy Note 7 recall
Three New Jersey plaintiffs have sued Samsung because the company failed to provide sufficient replacement phones during the Galaxy Note 7 recall.
Looks like Samsung’s Galaxy Note 7 troubles are far from being over. A few days after the South Korean electronics manufacturer announced that it would stop manufacturing the malfunctioning and explosive Galaxy Note 7 smartphones, the company is now facing a class action lawsuit in New Jersey.
Three plaintiffs have sued Samsung, not because of their Galaxy Note 7 devices exploding, but because of how the recall of the devices was handled. The suit has made a stand against Samsung for not providing adequate number of replacement units to customers during the Galaxy note 7Where to buy 59900
65000 recall. The filing says, “Samsung informed consumers they would have to wait several days, and even weeks in many cases, before receiving a replacement smartphone. During this time, and as a result of Defendant failing to provide consumers with an adequate replacement, consumers continued to incur monthly device and plan charges from their cellular carriers for phones they could not safely use.”
Meanwhile, a Samsung spokesperson declined to comment on the lawsuit stating that the company does not issue statement on matters that are sub-judice.

Following the incidents that caused a car fire, burns and other mishaps, Samsung had initiated a worldwide recall of the device. This was followed by the company shipping out replacement units, which also started catching fire, resulting in the subsequent and final death of the flagship phone.
