Images of HTC Bolt surface, speculated to feature Snapdragon 810...

New images of an HTC smartphone have emerged and it is likely that they belong to the the upcoming HTC Bolt. The images were leaked courtesy of Venturebeat’s Evan Blass. According to report, the phone is internally known as Acadia and is likely to be the first device from HTC to come without a headphone jack. In the set of released images, the phone is shown from various angles and is likely to have a metal construction. To some extent, the phone looks very similar to last year's HTC One M9, with its chamfered edges and a front mounted fingerprint scanner.

The HTC Bolt is tipped to run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC. This octa-core SoC was used by almost all flagship smartphones last year. This is the same SoC, which had heating issues. Other specifications include 3GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. At the back, the device is expected to offer an 18MP camera along with an 8MP front facing camera. This will also be the first device from HTC to be offered with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, with HTC’s latest Sense UI running on top of it. In addition, the HTC Bolt is also tipped to house a 5.5-inch 1080p display.

According to the venturebeat report, the Bolt will also offer HTC’s BoomSound audio enhancing technology, which has been seen on the HTC 10. This tech enhances the sound quality when listening via headphones. Details about the battery size are still missing at the moment. However, we do know it will also be using a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer.

The HTC Bolt is expected to be launched globally before the end of this month.
